What if my PDF already has page numbers?
The tool adds new numbers without removing existing ones — you'd end up with two sets. Either remove the existing numbers in a desktop editor first, or use a margin position where they won't overlap.
Can I skip the first few pages (like a cover and TOC)?
Not in this simple version. Workaround: split the PDF, leave the first few pages alone, add numbers to the rest with a custom 'Start at' value, then merge back. Or use a desktop tool like Adobe Acrobat for precise per-page control.
Why is the number positioned slightly off?
PDF text is positioned by its baseline (the bottom of letters, not their visual center). The tool applies a small margin to compensate. If you need pixel-perfect placement, adjust font size or position; small variations between fonts are normal.
